This video shows only a small part of what they offer, the huge library of videos and podcasts can definitely be overwhelming at first but you can filter and select from the games or areas that you would like to work on.

Why you need training

The game of poker constantly evolves and changes super-fast, you want to be the one taking advantage of the new trend not the one on the receiving end. Signing up for training sites helps you think about situations differently, it encourages critical thinking which is a very important trait to have.

Watching or listening to different opinions of how to play hands will help you develop your own strategy, maybe it is not the same as you were taught but one you have evolved for the players you have at your games.

Maths in poker to some people can be a really boring aspect of poker but everyone knows it is important. Training sites can explain the maths needed in simpler ways to help you understand how to process mathematical probabilities without being a math genius.

Is it worth the money

In my opinion it is definitely worth the money you invest in getting a crush live poker membership. I understand the apprehensiveness of paying money for training but the benefits far outweigh the costs. If you learn one tip a month from your subscription it can pay for the fee.

There are people that make free poker videos and they can definitely improve your game, but they are nowhere at the same in-depth level. Your game will improve dramatically, you will look at scenarios in a new light and know that you can deal with any situation your opponent’s throw at you.

While watching streams or poker can give you good insights into the game, the quality of the discussion involved with each and every hand shown on CLP is the difference. You will learn what a consistent winning player thinks of the way both sides played the hand and how each could have made better decisions.

Everybody hates being bluffed or getting caught bluffing so being able to understand the situations better will help it happen less often.

Specialises in Small Stakes

Watching high stakes poker can be exiting but it is not going to improve your game if you only play 1-2 cash games.

Bart gets footage from 1-2 and 2-5 games which shows the moves that opponents YOU are playing against are doing. You get to watch the styles that your level of opponent play and get to learn the best way to combat them and extract the most money out of them.

These stakes have a majority of inexperienced players that show the same tendencies that can be exploited. Bart and his team will go through a large array of lines you can take to combat their behaviours and will teach you some very advanced concepts that most of your opponents will have no idea about.

Crush live poker vs other training sites

There are many training sites that will show how to play poker online but live poker is a completely different beast. There are more opportunities to gain information off opponents in live poker and that is one major reason to learn from a poker training site that looks at live poker specifically to know what to look for.

I had been a member of cardrunners training back when I used to play a lot online and that helped me tremendously to look at different ways and to look at bet sizes etc. but live poker has so many other aspects to it than what can happen online.

It is widely stated that players at 1-2 cash online are far superior than 1-2 live players and, in my experiences playing both I agree with this statement. So, you should learn how to play against 1-2 live opposition rather than watching people that explain how to play cash online.

Before signing up to crush live poker I did a lot of research on other training sites but could not find one that I felt comfortable with or with the amount of content available. Some sites have colossal fees which I could not afford, so having the different pricing plans at crush live poker depending on what content you want to have access to or if you are a small stakes or high stakes player there is a structure that suits.

Since joining CTP I have never thought about changing to a different site.

Has it helped me

This review might have sounded a little bias but this is due to being a Crush Live Poker subscriber for many months and it has greatly improved my game. Bart has a fantastic way of explaining very advanced concepts and make it easy to understand.
I have never looked back and know that I will be a long-term subscriber.

Poker is a game that is always evolving and having a fantastic group of trainers actively playing and watching low stakes poker I know I will be ahead of the pack.

I have played live poker for more than 10 years and finally I can watch videos that help my game and don’t just frustrate me.

Testimonial from other crush live poker subscribers

“I went from a marginal winner at 1-2 to being a big winner at 5-5 and 5-10 (over $60,000 in one year playing just 2-3 nights a week). When my daughter was born I was able to leave my job to spend days with her while playing poker at night. I can’t thank Bart enough for helping give me the opportunity to spend more time with my family.”
SLORowe

“For a recreational player like me, I found the site to be incredibly useful. The sheer amount of content and the way that it is organized makes the monthly subscription price an absolute steal for anyone that is serious about improving their game. Crush Live Poker is the only site that concentrates on the specific nuisances of live poker.”
